KosherKocktails: Knock Yourself Out with Our Sukka Punch!
By Robin Tim Weis
For a Sukkot cocktail, we thought a festive punch was in order. This version offers a fresh, citrusy celebration of the harvest, with a bittersweet note reflecting the waning, pink light of fall. If you're entertaining in your sukkah, you can make the punch in large quantities in a pitcher and easily carry it outside. It's enjoyed equally a deux if you are looking forward to a romantic evening under the stars. Either way, lean back with family and friends and enjoy our ‘Sukka Punch," which, as its name suggest, will deliver a delightful one, two.
Makes three cocktails, or two generous ones.
3 oz dry gin
Juice of one lemon
0.5 oz simple syrup
0.5 oz rose water
2-3 dashes of ginger lemon bitters
0.3 oz Campari
0.3 oz St. Germain
Fill your shaker halfway with ice and add your gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, rose water, ginger lemon bitters, Campari and St. Germain. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and strain into a small tumbler glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
