On this Yom Kippur, have the courage to share your soul and accept the occasional bitter truths of life. KosherKocktail's "Repentance" will help you do just that. Savor this potion either the night before you fast or after you break it. Just be careful not to share your soul too much after the first one.
Makes two drinks.
1.5 oz vodka
1.0 oz green olive juice (reserve the juice from your next olive jar)
2-3 dashes Fee Brothers rhubarb bitters
4-5 slices of cucumbers to muddle
0.5 oz lemon juice
0.75 oz simple syrup
0.5 oz gin
0.3 oz apple cider vinegar
Combine the olive juice and cucumber slices at the bottom of your cocktail shaker and muddle. Fill your shaker halfway with ice and add your vodka, rhubarb bitters, lemon juice, simple syrup, gin, and apple cider vinegar. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an olive of your taste and cucumber slice.
